Kolkata-Style Jhal Muri Recipe | No Onion Garlic

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Puffed Rice Muri
  • ¼ cup Cucumber finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
  • 2 tbsp Roasted Chana or Fine Sev gluten-free
  • 1 Green Chilies finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander Leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Raw Mustard Oil or mango pickle oil
  • ¼ tsp each: Black Salt, Roasted Cumin Powder, Chaat Masala

Method
 

Prep the Veggie Base
  1. In a large bowl, combine chopped cucumber, green chilies, cilantro, and optional boiled potato cubes.
Add Crunch & Spices
  1. Toss in roasted peanuts, roasted chana/sev, black salt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, and mustard oil. Stir for 10 seconds to create an aromatic spice-oil coating.
Toss & Serve Immediately
  1. Add puffed rice last. Toss vigorously until well coated, transfer to paper cones or bowls, and enjoy immediately for maximum crunch!
