4-Ingredient Easy Spice Mix Recipe

A quick, aromatic 4-ingredient homemade spice mix crafted exclusively for pure vegetarian cooking. Made with dry-roasted coriander, cumin, fennel, and whole red chillies, this coarse masala delivers a warm, sweet-savory flavor without any onion, garlic, or heavy garam masala. Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp Coriander Seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 2 Dry Red Chillies

Method
 

  1. Dry roast all the ingredients in a pan. Set the cooktop to medium heat. If you are cooking on the induction cooktop, roast the spices at 800W.
  2. When the spices turn aromatic, turn of the heat.
  3. Remove the spices from the hot pan. Spread the mix on a platter and allow cooling at room temperature for a few minutes.
  4. Grind the spice mix in rock mortar or a mixer grinder.
  5. Store the spice mix in an airtight jar. Protect the homemade masala powder from heat, intense light, and humidity.
